A project by John TibellAngler LegendRead the water. Catch the fish. Become a legend.
A fishing game in 3D, in the browser, on real waters: the real shore, the real depth, and the fish that live there, behaving like the real thing. Lakes, rivers and the coast, a daily water, tournaments, and a career that ages with you. You fish from the first cast, with no account. In open beta, in Swedish, English and German.
Real waters, real rules. The game is everything around them.
Invents a world, and paints a little realism onto it
Starts from the real thing
Every water in the game is a real one, in its real place: its shore, its islands, its depth and its fish. When they bite follows the same kind of forecast that Huggtabell gives anglers for the real water. What's invented is everything around that: your career, the tournaments, and the years that pass. So you become a better angler by playing, and the knowledge comes with you to the water.
Six great lakes, as the game draws them
From Vättern in the south to Torneträsk above the Arctic Circle. Pick a lake.
From the aim to the measuring board
From the game's own guide. It rewards paying attention, not lightning reflexes.
- Aim
Turn by dragging sideways on the water. A faint ring shows where the lure will land.
- Depth
Drag the depth scale. The bright stretch shows how deep this lure can fish here.
- The take
Reel in rhythm: slow in cold water, faster in warm. A take opens a short window to set the hook.
- The fight
The fish runs and rests. Gain line while it rests, ease off when it runs, and watch the tension.
- The board
The fish is laid snout to the stop and read at the tail. The length is what counts.
Forty-six species, each with its plate
From the perch at the jetty to the turbot on the sand. Point at one to read about it.
One water, the whole field, and a link to send
One water, one frozen moment, the same for everyone and a new one every real day.
Enter, travel there, and fish the shared window. The whole field fishes in the same weather at the same moment, and the biggest fish takes the pot.
Share a catch, your day or a challenge. The link shows the fish, not where it held.
From first cast to legend
You get sharper, wiser and more seasoned, but you age. In the end it becomes natural to pass it on. Your records stand forever.
Your best lake won't be the same. Near towns the waters decline, and far out they stay pristine.
Each kind of water fishes its own way, with its own shores. Pike in the sea? In the Baltic, yes.
The rare char holds in a cold, clear lake far to the north. So travel there.
“The game teaches. Reality rewards.”
No travel, no costly gear, no blank days. Then you take what you've learned out to the water, because the best fishing is always the real thing.
