You know the one: by the supermarket, in the library, outside the parish hall. Notes about flea markets, a cat that's run off, someone who needs a dog-sitter. It may be Sweden's oldest social medium, and it still works. Here every town has a board of its own, and a note is free to put up.

The old board has two problems: it's only there where it hangs, and it forgets everything each time it's cleared. The same notes and the same village life, with those two things mended.
