Real, live maggots are on the way. You book yours ahead, and once a week they are sent straight out to you, fresh.

Close the bag, and keep it in your pocket

Close the bag so the scent stays in. On the ice the bag goes in the inside pocket, not in the box on the sled: the bait should be soft when it goes on the hook.

The shelf

Small, and honest about it

White, red and mixed. The shelf fills up as the right things are found, and until then the range is small, and the page says plainly what there is.

White is the usual one, for perch, roach and whitefish all winter. Red is seen when it's overcast and in the deep: for char and rainbow trout.
