Vavaʻu, Tonga · August 2022The letter with no sender

8–9months on its way to us

Sometimes you can feel the love and the prayers in a letter. We felt it before we had even opened this one. Normally we don't open the mail until we get home, but this time we couldn't wait.

There was no sender, just a short message inside: “God loves You! Thank You!”

It must have been carried by prayers for eight or nine months, through a volcanic eruption, bad weather and lockdowns, before it reached our island.

I still don't know who you are. I'm almost certain it came from someone who has lived with the Lord for a long time, and most likely been through tough times with Him. If you ever read this: it was a great blessing to receive your letter.

An opened envelope and a handwritten note that says: God loves You! Thank You!
No sender. Just this.

“Can it be sweeter?”
